November 26, 2016

The Senegal-America Project with Tony Vacca, Tantra Zawadi, Derrik Jordan and Momadou N’Diaye.

A unique mix of innovative World Music and poetic Spoken Word. Poetry fans across The Valley know Tantra Zawadi from her many appearances at The Greenfield Annual Word Fest, and at The Garlic Festival. Momadou N’Diaye is a Senegalese born poet with a heady rhythmic command of five languages that includes Wolof, English, French, Serer and Arabic.Tony Vacca and Derrik Jordan continue to expand the depths of their genre-bending collaborations that have already spanned two decades. This concert is in support of their upcoming trip to Senegal doing concerts, fair-trade recordings and creating the student-to-student international collaborations that help illustrate the guiding principle of The Senegal-America Project: WE ARE ALL CONNECTED.

Expect a special guest or two… it always happens.
